I want to thank the lovely Irina for tagging me. I really enjoy this challenge so even though I have done it before I was pretty keen to give it another go. This time I decided to look at some of my recommended anime from 2018 and see if I could describe them in one sentence. So without further delay lets get into it.
- Accept and thank your challenger(s) by linking back to their post.
- Make a post of one-sentence summaries and/or roasts of at least five books/anime.
- No spoilers!
- Link back to The Awkward Book Blogger so she can see your post.
- Challenge as many or as little people as you want!
- Have fun!
Anime Described in One Line
Cute anthropomorphised blood cells battle for continued survival every single day.
Professional killers take on jobs and play baseball in-between eating ramen and playing dress up.
Absolute perfection – just watch it.
Sakuta helps girls overcome emotional and supernatural dramas yet struggles to confront his own.
When making a game avatar always choose a bad-ass Demon Lord because if you get summoned to another world it will make you completely OP.
Who needs plot when you have Mii-Kun at the centre of this adorableness?
If you want great food shots and terrible latte art, this relaxing slice of life about four guys running a cafe will hit the spot.
About half a season of watching characters walk and talk about not all that much and about half a season of emotionally driven drama with an excellent character arc spread out over too many episodes.
The title is a lie I tell you – a lie!

Love the one for March Comes in Like a Lion! Another reminder that I need to eventually watch that show.
Definitely an anime worth watching.
And this is why I love this ag. So much fun to read!
This tag is great fun and it doesn’t matter if you’ve done it before, there’s always more titles to take on.
“The title is a lie I tell you – a lie!”
I just saw a manga called Moon Land. I was disappointed to find out that it does not involve the moon landing. Booo!
Anyway, thanks for tagging me!
That’s probably another fun game of finding how many anime and manga have titles that aren’t necessarily true based on the story.
These were great one liners! 😊 Loved the one for March Comes in Like a Lion and Tada Doesn’t fall in love.
I really thought about how to summarise March Comes in Like a Lion season two and then realised it was pointless. It must be experienced.
That’s true. It’s one of those shows that can’t be simplified or explained. It’s all about the experience because it draws out an emotional response so it must be watched to be understood.
I mean, you can describe the events to people but it really doesn’t sound that interesting. As you said, it’s the experience of watching that is important.
Well this seems like fun.
“The title’s a lie!” 😆
It’s the most accurate description I could come up with.
It may have to wait for a bit though since i’ve got some other stuff that needs to come out first
That’s usually what happens and then I usually forget to write my response.
Hey, don’t jinx it!! I do that enough as it is!
*sits in a corner feeling bad for all the tags accidentally forgotten*
It would be nice if there was a way to save posts in a folder where you’d been tagged so that they were easy to find again when you had time to respond to them. Or maybe I should just get around to them sooner. I just know I’m pretty terrible at responding to them.
that would be nice, yeah
