The Best and Worst Anime of Spring 2018 – Have Your Say (last chance)

tiramisu13d

This is the last chance to get your vote in for the best and worst of the season. Be sure to get your final votes in and to share with others. The more the merrier.

You can choose up to three series in both the best of and worst of the season polls.

So be sure to vote for the best of the season and then share the post.

Remember, this is not for technical best animation or any other objective measure. It is just the show (or shows) you liked the most and had the most fun watching this season. So choose up to three and vote away and then remember to share.

Over to the worst of the season.

As always, this is an anime you actually watched this season but really should have dropped. The story is either completely broken, the characters are flat, or the animation has suffered critical failure. This is not just an anime you watched part of an episode of and disliked the subject matter. While the poll will always be subjective, this is the worst anime you watched.

Thanks for taking the time to vote. Please share the poll via social media because the more people who vote, the more reflective of the community the results will be.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Well..this is the first time I am not going to participate in the vote as I have not seen anything the past season. I’ll make it up next season though where I plan on watching along again 😊😊

      1. Not yet, but I am going to wait a bit and see what everyone is going to be following and make my choice after that. But rest assured…Attack on Titan is definitely one of them 😊😊

        1. I’m wondering if season 3 is going to give us answers to anything or just pose more questions. As much as I’d love to keep going with the story, season 2 left me feeling kind of disappointed because none of the mysteries from season 1 were really addressed.

          1. True enough…I do hope that we will get some more answers as well. But I don’t know. I just have a soft spot for this series. I love the concept, the story and the characters. It’s just one of my favorite animes which is probably why I give it a bit more of a pass with things than other series 😊

          2. I loved how season one began, but I just wish it wasn’t trying to expand so much. I’d really have loved it to have been a one season, tight story, and resolved because I think that might have had maximum impact. The effect of the titans dilutes over time and the large cast has become almost a burden as too little time is given to any of them. This is another case where something is actually quite good, but because I want it to be better I’m going to complain anyway.

          3. Season 1 certainly had a change of pace at the midway point. And i have to agree with the cast becoming way too big. At times I have trouble remembering who a certain character was lol. But I don’t know for some reason I still enjoy it a lot. Hopefully season 3 is going to bring it back to it’s glory and you are able to enjoy it too. 😊
Ps…have you seen Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress yet? Even though some call it an Attack on Titan clone, I absolutely loved it, and the story was pretty much wrapped in it’s first season 😊

          4. I actually did get to see that in the brief time I had an Amazon Subscription. I don’t think I wrote up a review yet, but I quite enjoyed it. Not mindblowing, but certainly kind of fun.

          5. Yes! I am so glad to hear that. There are quite a number of people that just dismissed it out of hand or simply said it’s a clone and that’s why it’s bad. As you say it wasn’t mindblowing, but I had a lot of fun with it. I loved the worldbuilding aspects of it, and the trains were seriously cool 😀

    1. If I were after an informed decision I’d get together a panel of experts, lock them in a room and force them to watch all the shows before analysing each and every one to within an inch of their lives. Okay, maybe not.
But this is just a reader’s poll so that the reader’s of 100 Word Anime get to say what they liked and didn’t this season. For me, that is the most meaningful thing to know because it’s all about enjoying anime.
