Latina sure was cute but is that enough to carry a slice of life fantasy series about a human adventurer taking in a demon daughter? Turns out, pretty much yes.
All cute things must come to an end. Fortunately it ends as cute as it begun and leaves us wanting more as there are clearly more adventures to go on and more to learn about this world and the characters. Still, at least it all ends on a warm and fuzzy note.
When the most exciting thing that happens is Latina gets new ribbons you know the plot has screeched to a halt. Admittedly, they travel back home but largely that is a rehash of the journey away only faster and the two characters both seem a little older. But where the plot feels minimised, the character interactions are as adorable as always.
We finally get some backstory on Dale and why he left the village and what his role is. It isn't the best way to reveal it ever but it makes sense and fills the gaps and so much like the rest of this show it will pass but isn't exactly memorable. Still, Latina is pretty cute. The Things You Learn While Travelling If It's For My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord Episode 7 For the first part of this episode you’d be forgiven for thinking that we were suddenly in a fantasy travel anime as Latina oohs and aahs her way along the path and to the port town … Continue reading Uchi no Musume Review Episode 7
Is Dale her father or an older brother? It is difficult to tell sometimes and with Kenneth doing such a great job of looking after Latina it kind of makes the relationships in Uchi no Musume a little fuzzy. Whichever it is, episode 6 continues to deliver on some cute and fun moments as Dale and Latina prepare for a trip to Dale's home town.
Snow is falling and Latina is thrilled this week in Uchi no Musume. This week we have child labour, guilt trips, and gifts as well as some darker characters showing up to mess with the happy routine Dale and Latina seem to have fall into. This anime is just too cute.
Uchi no Musume is taking the opportunity this week to show that it is more than just a cute demon girl and screen-cap opportunities. While it dives into the inevitable devil vs human conflict and discrimination issues, Latina, Dale and the others all have their moment to shine in episode 4 of If It's For My Daughter I'd Even Defeat The Demon Lord.
There's Something About Dale If It's For My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord Episode 3 What happens when you take the most adorable element of your adorable anime off the screen for a large chunk of the episode? Well, by and large you force your audience to pay attention to the other part … Continue reading Uchi no Musume Review Episode 3
