June OWLS Tour - Vulnerable In the month of June, we will be discussing what it means to be vulnerable. To some individuals, being vulnerable could be seen as a sign of weakness, but in fact, vulnerability is actually a sign of strength. In this month’s posts, we will explore what it means to be … Continue reading I’ll Walk On My Own/I’ll Walk With You
We all know there are many pretty anime out there and flowers, particularly cherry blossoms, show up in a lot of stories (and usually look gorgeous). Today I'm looking at my favourite gardens in anime series (I excluded movies deliberately but still ended up with far too many options). This is definitely a list of … Continue reading Top 5 Gardens in Anime Series
Tuesday's Top 5 this week features Obi from Snow White With The Red Hair. There is no denying he has some scene stealing moments so narrowing it down to just 5 was really hard. Here we go, celebrating this great supporting character.
This week I'm looking at the second Prince of Clarines, Zen Wisteria. If there is any one word to sum up Zen it would be respectful.
I'm no stranger to rewatching shows. Even when I was a little kid, I would play VHS's literally to death. Rather than accepting that fate, she cuts off her hair (in a somehow perfectly straight line) and crosses the border into the Kingdom of Clarines. There … Continue reading Snow White with the Red Hair Season 1 Series Review
There are moments in life when you definitely feel down. I originally wrote this post when I just felt like everything around me was falling apart and I didn't really know how to hold things together. The stress was overwhelming and I felt sick each morning when I woke up. Then as the day wore … Continue reading Friday’s Feature: Finding Joy and Inspiration In Watching Anime Characters Succeed
I've mentioned before that I am a huge fan of Joss Whedon's work. As a teenager in the 90's it was more or less impossible not to get on-board the Buffy bandwagon, and it was such a great bandwagon to be on. A female character who was reasonably attractive, had street smarts (though struggled at … Continue reading Friday’s Feature: Strong Female Character?
