Domestic Girlfriend Episode 5 Review - Rui may have made a new friend but it turns out the girl comes with some serious baggage and rumours. Also, shortly after making Rui's acquaintance she asks if it is okay to like Natsuo which puts her motives very much into question. How does this affect the love triangle?
While we aren't quite half-way through the Winter anime season, I'm just taking a moment to take stock, look at my watch list, and I'm trying to predict which of the shows I'm watching will actually hold out until the end of the season to be my favourite. In the meantime, I'd love to know what you are watching, what you've dropped, what you think will be anime of the season, and what you think is going to fall apart.
Domestic Girlfriend Episode 4: Rui and Natsuo are trying operation break up Hina and the guy she's cheating with but things aren't exactly going to plan. Turns out meddling in your sister's love life is harder than it looks.
Domestic Girlfriend Episode 3 escalates the drama but somehow manages to feel grounded as characters actually react to situations and deal with emotions. It is an unexpected surprise and this story is becoming more interesting than expected.
Domestic Girlfriend Episode 2 continues to surprise as it avoids being as trashy as I expected from the synopsis. This episode spends a lot of time building a rapport between Rui and Natsuo with fairly solid results.
Realising he wouldn't get to date the girl he liked (his teacher), Natsuo ends up hooking up with a girl at a mixer. Next thing he knows both his teacher and the girl he had a one night stand with are going to be his sisters. Well, it worked for the Brady Bunch.
