They apparently really like using the word special in their title and also being ambiguous for the sake of it. Honestly, this first episode is not great but the genre works for me so Special 7 is going on my watch list even if it doesn't end up being particularly good.
On the bright side, Cop Craft comes full circle with Tilarna and Kei facing off with Zelada in this final arc allowing Kei to finally get some closure on the whole death of his previous partner (whose name was mentioned in the final episode but I've completely forgotten). Alas, this isn't enough to make this anime any more than watchable which is a shame as there was so much more potential in the premise.
Episode 26 gives our long absent villain some much needed screen time and also sends Tanjiro and co back out and onto their next mission. Not exactly an episode that ties up loose ends so much as one deliberately ensuring that viewers come back for the movie and I guess the inevitable second season.
A sickly sweet ending but one that I kind of appreciated. Irina and I discuss the final episode of DanMachi season 2.
I had two alternative titles for this post. One was Well, That's Over the other was An Impractical Swimsuit. I feel like these competently summarize my thoughts on this finale. It's unfair that final episodes tend to have a disproportionate impact on our overall impressions of a series but for better or for worse, the … Continue reading Granbelm Episode 13 – The Last True Mage
Weird choices all round with DanMachi launching into another story with only two episodes to go. Hestia puts her foot in her mouth and gets royally shot down by Bell which leads to an interesting turn of events, but is there really time to properly introduce new characters and get any kind of satisfactory resolution here?
This turned out to be a character heavy episode. Not only were we introduced to all the new company 1 members (and the return of fan service character Tamaki), but we also got to know Toru and Noto a little. This was way too many characters to do any in depth development in a single episode.
Recovery and Training Kimetsu no Yaiba Episodes 24 + 25 We are almost at the end of the first season of Demon Slayer and it seems we have a theme of Tanjiro training to get stronger. Nezuko sleeps through the whole two episodes, Zenitsu and Inosuke flee from the training until later in the piece, … Continue reading Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Review Episodes 24 + 25
Let me just say, this episode was rather Suishou heavy. I think that should tell you all you need to know! If you rather see Suishou than hear about her, I have a gallery here. Although I really think you should do both. After all, it's not like it's possible to have too much Suishou.
The war is on with Freya familia moving in. However, that is almost a side note as Bell stands by Haruhime against overwhelming odds. Irina and I share our thoughts on episode 10 of DanMachi.
