Chihiro’s mother has died and he doesn’t have any relatives until the flakey Madoka shows up. Not wanting to be in-debt to anyone Chihiro agrees to live with Madoka as long as he can work. Enter apron and a few awkward moments that surround an otherwise quite sweet show.
In this episode, Chihiro really begins to open up – though not in any obvious way and he outright tries to deny his growing relationship with Madoka. That, however, is what makes this episode all the more affective. Both the main characters are stubborn but each is trying in their own way to be considerate. Slowly, but surely, they are finding middle ground in their home. Who knew picking up stray animals could have such profound impacts on character.
