Another crazy week but I’m not even going to think about how crazy busy things are at the moment because there are blogs to visit and posts to share. Now, some of you may have missed it, but at the end of this month I am hosting June’s Jon’s Creator Showcase so please be sure to send me a link to your favourite post from May via Twitter and remember to use #JonsCreatorShowcase. I’m really looking forward to reading all the submissions to keep sending them my way. Now for the posts I found last week.
Scott from Mechanical Anime Reviews celebrates reaching 500 followers with a Q&A special post. If you missed out on this, go check it out as it is a chance to leave more about Scott and just to congratulate him on the milestone.
Bloom Reviews compares the anime and the manga for Snow White with the Red Hair. I love this anime but hadn’t read the manga, now I kind of want to. That said, this post is a little bit spoilery for those who haven’t been exposed to the story yet. Still, a great read.
The Only Shinyuu Site has a review of Hitorijime My Hero. This is a must read if you are looking for a boys love focused anime to watch and you haven’t checked out this particular anime yet. You may just find something you want to watch.
The Anime Tank shares their story of how they fell in love with anime. Obviously a personal post but probably one a lot of anime fans will relate to. Certainly it will get you thinking about your own journey into anime.
BiblioNyan shares what they learned after completing the 30 Day Anime Challenge. The lessons here are fairly solid and it is a great reflection of what can be gained by taking part in some of these challenges. Some sound advice for all bloggers.
KimchiSama looks at tasty food and sunshine turning her attention to Zeno (the yellow dragon) in Yona of the Dawn. This post looks a little at the anime but more at the manga, given Zeno barely appears in the anime, and it is an interesting look at what Zeno brings to the group. A fun read.
Cain S Latrani reviewed Kokoro Connect which is an anime that doesn’t really seem to get that much attention despite being interesting. I really enjoyed reading this review because it isn’t blind to the slow beginning and the slow set up for the characters but appreciates the journey the audience gets taken on. If you haven’t heard of this anime or are curious about it, be sure to check out this review.
Pick of the Week
AniB Productions has a fantastic post about Nagisa from Assassination Classroom. It is fairly riddled with spoilers but it does take a great look at his character and how he developed over the course of the series. If you missed this post last week, I seriously recommend giving it a read.
