In Case You Missed It 2020 #8

The weeks are really starting to get packed but I’m enjoying being able to come back to anime to have some needed relaxation. Meanwhile the community continues to put out some great anime related content. Here’s the round up of my posts, Irina’s posts, and posts I found interesting on other blogs this week.

Zainou discusses why Promare is a mess. As I haven’t seen the movie, I can’t comment one way or the other but this review caught my attention as it is a little different from the majority I’ve read about Promare.
Miki has a great post about anime burnout, why it happens and strategies for combating it. Great post for all prolific anime watchers.
Ethan_07 covers 5 mystery solving couples in anime and reasons why they might be perfect to solve your case. For those enjoying In/Spectre this season, this is a great post to check out.
Mari launches a passionate defense of My Hero Academia and the focus in season 4. While I’ve made my own view of the current season quite clear, it is lovely to see the perspective of someone who is still enthused for the franchise.
Matt Doyle reviews How Not To Summon a Demonlord and in the process reminded me that I owe that anime a rewatch to see if it works more than once. If you haven’t watched the anime, check out the review.
Grimm Girl looks at 5 things only an Otaku understands. Given I had to explain to someone just last weekend why an anime character had a sudden nose bleed, it sometimes helps to have it pointed out that the entire world isn’t familiar with anime tropes.
