In Case You Missed It 2020 #3

And here we go again. This season I’m continuing the My Hero Academia collaboration with Kapodaco and Irina and I are working together to cover three shows this season so expect a lot of fun conversations around anime. I have now finished my series of posts on a decade of anime so check the link out below to find all ten posts and over the next couple of weeks I’m actually going to look back at 2019 and my ‘bests’ for the year given I kind of skipped that to do the decade review. Otherwise the community have been putting out some amazing posts, whether they are reflective of shows from last year, looking at the new shows starting up, or just taking a closer look at a character, there were so many great posts to read last week. Hopefully you find something below to read.

The Infallible Fish has a review of Didn’t I Say To Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life. It will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect going into the anime and is worth the read if you are undecided about watching it.
Otaku Central has a review of Little Witch Academia. As this is another anime languishing on my long to be watched list, I appreciated the reminder that this exists. It’s a pretty upbeat review and one that certainly made me think I should get around to it sooner rather than later.
Cells at Work Episode 7 Red and Platelet
Krystallina has a manga review for us looking at Cells at Work. I’ve been curious about how this would be to read ever since I watched the anime and reading this review has made me want to bump this manga up my to be read list.
Fortress William has an interesting piece looking at Eri’s choice to be saved in My Hero Academia. A look at a single choice by a single character and the implications of that choice. A very good post for people following My Hero Academia this season.
John Samuel shared his first impressions of In/Spectre and if you missed the first episode or weren’t sure what to expect, this is a nice post covering the basics without giving things away. Worth reading.
Ethan shares a review of Cautious Hero and unpacks why the show might have more impact overall than the first few episodes let on. It manages to remain spoiler free but gives you a bit to think about.
Moeronpan has a first impressions post for A Destructive God Sits Next To Me. I’ve now read several reviews of people, who like me, didn’t make it through episode one. This post comes from someone who did watch the whole episode and kind of captures exactly why this anime is so far one to avoid.
Elisabeth on The Little Anime Blog discusses shounen anime and pacifism in what is a fairly thought provoking post and a real must read if you missed it during the week.
