In Case You Missed It 2019 #44

If you missed my update earlier this week, I’ve explained my current work situation and why the blog will be slowing down for a bit. While I’m sad that I’m not going to be able to blog as much in the near future I’m also excited about how 2020 will go. For now though, I’m just trying to finish off the shows I started for the Fall Anime season and hope to get a few more reviews written from shows I finished earlier this year. Incidentally, the poll for best anime of the season opened this week as well so if you missed that be sure to vote and share as the top three will join the selected titles from the previous seasons to go head to head for anime of the year.

Bonutzuu writes a love letter to ‘The Letter’ as a review of the visual novel. If you are curious be sure to check it out.
Yuri Reviews takes on Sounan Desu ka? (Are You Lost?). They clearly weren’t the biggest fan of the characters or the story but they do a great job of describing what to expect if you end up watching this one.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime Episode 14 Rimuru
Irina reviews That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and focuses in on Rimuru as a character. A thoughtful review of an isekai that had a lot of buzz while it was airing but seems to have slipped off of people’s radars since.
Jon Spencer discusses Fire Force and fan-service (or rather the discussion around Fire Force and fan-service). Interesting post to read and consider.
Lumi discusses how the first arc of SAO delivers a Christmas episode and how it can was an incredibly powerful moment.
The Second Annual WordPress Anime Awards are here and a huge thanks to Ayano and the others for all their work putting this together. If you want to vote on some of your favourite anime and characters from 2019 be sure to go check it out.

This Week’s Must Read

Kapodaco gave Natsume Yuujinchou a go and shares their thoughts here. I love hearing about this series and when a new blogger tries it for the first time it is always fantastic to read their thoughts on it. For those who still haven’t taken the plunge and given season one of Natsume Yuujinchou a watch, definitely check out this post because it might just convince you.

Thank-you for
