Want a dose of family friendly supernatural anime? GeGeGe No Kitaro might be what you are looking for.
The cheesy and cutesy kid friendly horror continues in this second episode as Kitaro wakes up after being struck by an arrow in episode 1 and almost immediately embarks on tracking down another yokai who has made nearly 50,000 people disappear. Like the first episode, we continue to see this anime blend classic Japanese folk tales and monsters with modern technology, this week utilising an idol concert to gather people and taking a moment to remind us not to attach our passwords to our computer monitors.
This episode was just charming from the opening song, which has definitely become lodged in my head, through to the cute interactions between the new cat girl monster and the token human on the team. It isn’t exactly thought provoking, but nor does it need to be. It is just entertaining viewing and doing a decent job of it without being particularly exceptional.
Onto episode 3 then. While there’s a lot of shows on my might drop list, this one is pretty safe as it really has just been fun so far.

Thanks for reviewing this. I think I’ll check it out, which I wouldn’t have done otherwise.
Hopefully you enjoy it. As I said, it isn’t exceptional but it is fairly fun viewing.
