Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 8

An Unexpected and Unwanted Reunion Arifureta Episode 8 After hardening his personality in the labyrinth and setting new goals, Hajime doesn’t seem to have given much thought to what he would do when encountering his classmates again and episode 8 brings the teacher and her small escorts face to face with Hajime flanked by Shea … Continue reading Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 8

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 7

We're racing through another labyrinth and skipping over anything that might count as development for our characters. Shea shines the brightest in this episode but the competition is way to thin to really count that as a success for the overpowered bunny-girl.

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 6

While it isn't quite the butchered introduction that the first act was, Shea and the rabbitmen have their story condensed to nearly dot-point form. While there's nothing particularly glaringly bad about it, this is perhaps the least engaging way to convey this narrative.

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 5.5

Grudgingly I'll admit this episode of Arifureta isn't quite the dumpster fire some of the previous episodes have been. While that doesn't quite get this series to being good, it at least shows that there are some steps in the direction of maybe getting to kind of watchable. It might be too little too late given we're at episode 5, but this episode paves the way for a future journey and has some nice moments.

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 4

Could Arifureta get any worse than its first episode? Well, actually no, but it certainly isn't trying all that hard to get better. Horrific visuals, characters that make no sense because they haven't actually been properly introduced, and cheesy dialogue all plague episode 4 of Arifureta.

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 3

Battling Monsters and Bad Visuals Arifureta Episode 3 Outside of the still incredibly ugly visuals that make is difficult to figure out what is going on and what is monster and what is grainy textured background, Arifureta is kind of settling in as an underwhelming entry this season. Now that we’ve moved past the introduction, … Continue reading Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 3

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 2

Have They Managed To Get Anything Right? Arifureta Episode 2 It is rare that I watch a show when I have pretty much no positives to discuss. Yet Arifureta falls into a very weird space where I feel oddly compelled to continue watching mostly just to see whether they ever manage to reveal the potential … Continue reading Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 2

Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 1

Let's Just Skip The Intro Arifureta Episode 1 When I picked up the first light novel volume of Arifureta, I was drawn into a story that really hit me emotionally as I watched Hajime’s character get broken down and literally rebuilt from the ground up. It was horrifying and compelling and truly a riveting reading … Continue reading Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest Review Episode 1
