What started as an alright modern take on a fairy tale slowly became something that just wasn't very fun to watch. So what went wrong and what did it do right? Let's have a look at 100 Sleeping Princes and the Kingdom of Dreams. Review: My first impressions of this series were not hugely enthusiastic … Continue reading 100 Sleeping Princes and the Kingdom of Dreams Series Review: Meandering Fluff
If you missed it, earlier today the best of the season came out so if you would rather celebrate the successes of the season than wallow in, or jeer at, the misfires I recommend you check it out. In the meantime, a reminder that worst anime of the season is still an anime good enough … Continue reading Get Your Tomatoes Ready Because Here We Have the Worst Anime of the Summer 2018 Season
Summer has indeed had its ups and downs and to be honest, it is probably the weakest of the seasons 2018 has offered us so far. That doesn't mean it wasn't a whole lot of fun to follow, review, and discuss. However, I did find if a lot harder than normal to narrow down my … Continue reading Drum Roll For The Best of Summer 2018 Anime Announcement
Readers, you have chosen the best anime of Winter 2018 and the best anime of Spring 2018. You've also let everyone know what you felt the worst show of the Winter and Spring seasons were. Now it is time to once again stand up and be counted.
One final attempt at sending Mayuri and Suzuha into the past to change everything (or rather get Okabe back into trying to save Kurisu which the audience already knows happens so I'm not entirely sure if there was any point to this or not) and then we have a few loose ends to tie up but otherwise we're done. There's definitely a balance overall in the series with almost equal weight given to fan service moments and plot/character moments and both are fairly well done. Okay, boy summoned to magic world and forced to save city from a demon lord isn't the most original story, but watching him learn about the world and the encounters he has are pretty entertaining and there's a nice escalation in the danger faced throughout the series.
The Master of Ragnarok has been a fairly average to poor series throughout but it could have ended reasonably. Instead we get this, episode 12. An episode so inept it plunges what should have been an average watch into something that just cannot be recommended unless you really want to watch the hot spring episode.
Phantom in the Twilight brought us to the end of the season and I will spoil the ending a bit and point out that they did finally save Shinyao (only took 11 episodes to do that). So with the main plot line resolved the question is how did this episode go for Ton and the rest of the staff from Cafe Forbidden?
