Brotherhood of the World Award Part 2

brotherhood

I want to thank RossiRoad for nominating me. I don’t think it’s taken me quite as long to respond to this one as to Ya Boy Jack’s, but it has still taken probably a bit too long to get around to this.

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the questions sent to you.
  • Nominate around 10 bloggers (3 is around 10).
  • Create your own set of questions for your nominees and display the rules.

Questions:

01. Who is your favourite comedian and why?

Well, I’m not much for comedy at all, but if I had to pick one I’d go with Tim Minchin. Mostly because he worked on the Matilda stage play and I just really enjoy some of his music. Still, for the most part I’m not big on comedians.

02. What do you do that you would describe as noteworthy? As well as that what do you do that is so unnoteworthy to be in itself noteworthy?

That’s a fun question to read aloud. About my only noteworthy trait other than a fast reading and typing speed is a very good memory. It is one of those things that mostly just annoys people though when you remember stuff they’d rather you just forgot.

As to something I do that is unnoteworthy… that would be most things. I’m a fairly invisible human and I’m actually okay with that.

03. What is something that you want to get into but just haven’t been able to?

I don’t think there is anything in particular. I tend to do or have done most things I’ve wanted to. The biggest issue is of course having more time to do the things I love. Though I would like to be much better at learning languages because I always thought it would be fantastic to be able to read and listen to things in their native language and understand rather than relying on translations.

04. If you could learn/obtain one skill instantly what would that skill be?

Is this allowed to be fantasy because I’d love to throw teleportation in to the mix, or telepathy. Um, if it had to be a real skill, maybe I could go with learning how to actually style hair at some point. I’m pretty hopeless at that.

05. You have two machines. One can take you into the depths of space and you can travel across the universe. The other is a time machine which can take you to whatever point in time in the past or future. Which do you choose and why?

I have zero interest in space travel. This world is full of more than enough to keep me happy so realistically I would choose the time machine. And if I had to choose I’d go into the future because I can always experience the past through stories, and i’m very curious to know how humans go.

06. What do you do job/school wise?

This one I’m going to pass on. I work full time and do a lot of overtime (like way too much). I spend too much of that time at a desk and in meetings. And that’s about the extent of talking about my job that I want on my blog.

Nominations (feel free to pass):

Questions (same as for part one):

  1. What would you most like to change about yourself or your life?
  2. If you could travel in time to the past but once you were there you had to stay, would you go and what time would you go to?
  3. What technology are you most excited about for the future?

Thanks for reading.

  1. Fast reading, fast typing, and a good memory. Consider me jealous. I’m bit similar with my friends when they prefer I forget about certain things. I would, but it’s just too good seeing them embarrassed to not bring up some good silly times with them.

I also would prefer a time machine. I could go into the future where space travel has become really advance, and do whatever I want without any worries. Not even the butterfly effect would stop me from enjoying my time machine haha.

Thanks for the tag Brother Karandi! I shall make sure to endure the rite of passage, and receive my membership into the Brotherhood!

  2. Well…I think pretty much everyone would choose a time machine (else I would be very surprised to be honest 😂😂). Congrats on yet another award: all of them are totally deserved 😊

    1. I finally caught up with the recent tags. I really should apologised to all the ones I never responded to, but at least in August I kept up.

  3. Really liked this, great answers! I like Tim Minchin as well, a lot of his songs are so funny! Listening in the native language would also be great and teleportation would be nice as well! Theirs one friend that I have where he often appears out of nowhere or in places you wouldn’t expect or out of doors you have no idea how he got into so we often joke about him being able to teleport! So in my opinion it counts as a skill! You’re job sounds tiring, I’m always amazed at the work you can do and balancing it with full time (and overtime).

    1. Work is tiring but that’s why I love the blog because it always seems to give me a bit of a boost.
Of all the super powers in stories, teleportation would be far the most practical for day to day life and would solve so many problems. Really would like to see this one exist one day.
