Questions:

01. Has your blog ever affected you positively in your personal life, aside from the benefit of being able to write?

I think my blog has made me more open and expressive than I was. I really struggle communicating in real life and blogging has helped me to become a bit more open. I still find real world conversations incredible taxing and get quite tense when I have to engage in them with people I don’t know very well, but I think it has gotten a little better since becoming a blogger.

02. What time period in history do you find most interesting?

I’m not super into any historical period (prefer mythology over actual history in the first place) but in terms of what I have studied the most probably the British Industrial Revolution. The transformation from a agrarian society to a more urbanised one and the factory model is interesting in its own way and a lot of the issues we are still dealing with come directly from developments during this period.

03. What is the most interesting place you’ve been?

I think anywhere can be interesting depending on your frame of mind and who you are with. I loved travelling around Japan, but equally I have a lot of fun visiting small towns in Queensland that some people would say don’t have anything in them (and they would be right and wrong at the same time about that). One place I’d love to have longer in would be London because the museums there are amazing and I didn’t get to spend enough time visiting them.

  1. >What time period in history do you find most interesting?

Interesting, we study different periods for much the same reasons… When it comes to studying food, I concentrate on the 1850-1950ish period as it represents the shift to industrialized and centralized production and distribution. Especially in the early years of the 20th century, there’s also the “servant problem” which gave rise to “time saving” conveniences and laid the foundations for microwave meals and cup noodles.

    1. There were so many social changes during that period, as well as technological changes, it is a good starting point for nearly any study as you can almost bet there’s some sort of link from that period to today.

  2. Well as a very shy person, I can definitely relate with what you wrote. It’s sometimes pretty hard for me to communicate in the “ real world” so to speak, but here it’s totally different. Doesn’t mean that I can open up about everything here, but it’s certainly easier, that is for sure 😊 Great post! 😊

    1. I think it is because communication is mostly typed and not normally immediate, it gives you time to process and think about the response you want to give. It doesn’t always work out, but at least you aren’t expected to instantly respond. Backspace is a very good friend sometimes.

      1. Haha..yeah backspace really is a good friend. How I wish I could use that friend in real life sometimes lol 😂😂
But absolutely true.. It doest give you more time to organise thoughts and look before you note it down 😊😊

  3. Thank you Karandi for nominating me for the Brother of the World Blogger Award. I really enjoyed blogging a lot and having my own website to write about something I love. Anime is not just my escapism but our escapism. 😀

  4. I’m glad blogging made such a positive impact on your life! I think blogging and cosplay has helped me with my self-esteem. Thank you for the nomination, and congrats on the Brotherhood of the World event! ^^
