Unique Blogger Award

Okay, it has literally been forever since I”ve responded to one of these due to my already hectic blogging schedule so I do want to thank everyone who has nominated me and apologise for not really getting around to responding. That said, this nomination came from Thero159 on A Reluctant Hero, so a big thank-you for the thought.

The award rules, which are as follows:

  • Share the linkΒ ofΒ the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them 3 questions.

Thero’s Questions:

01.Β  Why did you decide to start blogging?

haruhi

I’m pretty sure I’ve answered this one before but basically to have someone to talk to about anime. My main purpose is finding and participating in a community of people who just enjoy stories and like to discuss them. So far that’s been going pretty well and I really have enjoyed meeting new people through blogging.

02. If you could talk to yourself from the past, what advice would you give?

Gamers3b

I would hope I would be smart enough not to try to second guess my actions and that I’d leave my past self alone. Maybe some things didn’t work out brilliantly, but I have no way of knowing if altering my actions would make things better or worse so might as well leave it all alone. Though if I had to give advice and I was talking to a young enough me, I might point out that while blue seems like a cool hair colour, as it washes out it kind of goes milky green and isn’t exactly flattering on anybody.

03. If you could visit any fictional world/place, where would it be and why?

Suna3

It would have to be The Library, from Doctor Who. Seriously, every book ever written. Sign me up. If it also contains a DVD library I might never ever leave. And yeah, I know it didn’t work out so well in Doctor Who but I’d try to visit the library before all the death and disaster. It hardly happened on the opening day.

Now I am going to be a little bit of a killjoy here and not pass on the nomination. Mostly because I’m not sure who has already been nominated at this point. However, another big thanks to Thero159 for the nomination.

Thanks for reading.

  1. …small detail: it might not have been opening day, but it certainly wasn’t very long before the Library met disaster. Said disaster was a hundred years before the Doctor came along, and then he met the grandson of the man who built it for his youngest daughter. Now, I know future tech can probably make people live a bit longer, but a hundred years still doesn’t leave that much wiggle room to work with, ya know? And it’s not like you can take the books out of the library to enjoy them, because that’s where the disaster came from: hatching from within the books.

…outside that detail, though, yes, a very tempting destination. (my brain drooling over that much reading material…)

          1. Apparently, the lesson here is, never get between a bookworm and a library, for we will go to great lengths to obtain our prize! πŸ˜€

I’m sure something must be capable of destroying Vashta-Narada eggs before they hatch, but, again, if they can survive the process of wood becoming paper around them, then I don’t think there’s much to be done without destroying the books as well. The Doctor himself, who stared down the things down, said something about, “This creature, you can do this, that creature, you can do that, but Vashta-Narada? You can only run.”

  2. Congratulations on receiving an award! ^-^ I know exactly what you mean about blue hair turning into a milky-green colour… Learnt about that the hard way myself. >< Enjoyed reading this, though! c:

    1. It is amazing how you can be told what will happen and still not really understand until you’ve experienced it yourself. Besides, blue hair is still awesome, it just needs more maintenance than I’m willing to give it.

  3. Congratulations on the award!

Did you color your whole hair blue? I did a few strands at the front and in a few weeks, t was this weird mix of green and purple. It would have been more of a disaster if I’d colored more of it.

          1. True. Though that can be a bit of a bother too. I got an undercut recently. I love the thing but maintaining it would involve quite a lot of regular effort so I’m probbaly not going to.

  4. Congrats on the nomination. I know what you mean about running behind on these. I have quite a lot of them that I haven’t yet responded to either. I feel bad about it, but it’s exactly as you say, sometimes the blogging schedule just takes up too much time (or real life too 😊). Enjoyed reading your answers πŸ˜€

    1. I always felt bad that they didn’t get to actually spend any time enjoying the library because they went almost instantly to the whole death and disaster thing.
