I kind of thought this during episode 4, but Moguro is definitely becoming more aggressive in how he pursues clients and how he sets them up to fail. The first couple of episodes featured obviously flawed characters who pretty much instantly abused what he gave them, whereas the last two episodes have had characters who seem mostly happy (but for the normal niggles of everyday life) who have then been given quite a hard shove to end up where they do.
Also, Moguro’s depiction is at many times in this episode monstrous. While we haven’t learned any more about him as a character, his tactics and actions are becoming increasingly villainous. In early episodes I could suggest that he was merely creating a situation for a lesson to be learned, he now seems to be actively encouraging people to give in to their vices.
This actually made these two stories a bit more interesting as I wonder if they will pursue this path further or if is simply a couple of stories with a similar theme before we move to the next.
