2000 Posts!

And we are here! This is post number 2000 for 100 Word Anime and I felt that was worth celebrating.

Okay, I know not every post is a gem and this also counts posts just reminding people to vote so probably the number of actual posts is a little lower, but I’m still blown away to have reached this milestone in under 2 years. While I do need to continue to focus on building the quality of my posts, I’m glad I’ve found a routine that allows for consistency in creating and publishing content.

A huge thank-you to everyone who follows my blog and continues to enjoy the content. I never really thought that when I first started this blog that I would ever be celebrating 2000 posts or that this would become something that I would become so incredibly passionate about. However, I love writing this blog and I have loved meeting all of you. Hopefully you will stay with me as we go for the next 1000 posts.

thank you

By the way, if you are new to the blog and you haven’t checked out some of my older series reviews, there’s a link to a list on the right or you can click here.

However, if you read this far, I guess this is a good chance for another ‘competition’, and I use that term very loosely, much like ‘prize’ really.

So, as I still have nothing really to offer the prize is:

A blog post written by me on any anime related topic for you.

Yes, it isn’t exactly a new car or a trip to Tokyo Disney but we all do what we can. However, as with the last prize there are a few conditions.

01: The post will be between 200 – 500 words.

02: The post will be emailed to an email address of your choosing within 7 days of you sending details of the topic to me via my contact page.

03: If you specify a single anime as the topic and I have not watched it, I will request a different topic. Realistically, it would be best just to give an anime related question that I can choose example anime to discuss but that is ultimately your choice.

04: I will not provide images to go with the post, however you may choose to add images.

05: You do not have to actually use the post on your blog. I don’t know exactly what else you would do with it, but you are not obliged in any way to publish it in any form should you choose not to.

06: If you do choose to publish the post, you will need to credit me as the author and a link back to my blog.

So how can you be in the running to ‘win’ this ‘amazing’ prize?

Nice and simple, all you have to do is reblog your favourite post from 100 Word Anime by the 20th, though to be sure I’d probably also comment and let me know you did it just in case it doesn’t track back properly.

I will add all the names of people who like or follow the page into a random list generator on the 21st of January and whoever ends up at the top of the list will be the ‘winner’.

Are you a fan of 100WordAnime.blog?

If you like this site and you like what I do, please consider becoming a patron.

  1. If it’s any consolation, I thought that EVERY single post I read was of top quality. As always, I can’t wait to see what you write about, for I know I can expect an enjoyable read. Congratulations on such an amazing accomplishment!!

  2. For some reason this post didn’t appear in my reader, but I just saw it on Twitter thank god. But wow, what can I say, this is truly an absolutely amazing achievement. I have saud it before, and I will say it again: I have enormous respect for you. The dedication you have for blogging, and the time you spent reacting to comments, reading other blogs, and simply put being such an amazing person is nothing short of breathtaking. Congratulations: and thank you for being such an amazing inspiration for all of us 😀😀

    1. *Blushing
Raistlin, thank you so much. I am so grateful to the support you have continued to show over the two years I’ve been blogging and I’m glad you continue to enjoy my blog. Really looking forward to swapping comments about the anime this season now that you are trying some seasonal viewing.

  3. 2000 posts, and minus all the posts regarding voting and such we still have 90% quality content. Meanwhile, I’m struggling just to keep up with the 6 hours per first impressions thing that I imposed on myself. How do you write so much good posts EPISODICLY while still being able to watch anime? One of the main reasons why I don’t do episodic reviews is actually because I will die if I have to write episodic reviews for every anime I watch, which is a staggering 15 for this season.
With that said, ultra-congratulations! 2000 is big. Big enough that my blog probably does not have anything 2000 yet even.(Not that you should use my tiny blog as a gauge)
Having achieved this milestone, I actually have one actual question for you:
    What’s your plan going forward?

    1. Well, last year my main focus was consistent posting which I think I’ve kind of got a rhythm sorted now so this year my focus is going to be on quality.
The other thing I need to start looking at more seriously is how to ensure patrons feel they are getting something for their support and building that aspect of the blog. Particularly if I ever want this to be more than a hobby, I really do need to look at that aspect more.
Otherwise, my general plan is to keep watching a lot of anime and using my spare time to write about it.

  4. Congratulations!

But holy crap, I’d thought for a second that Irina wrote this celebratory post for you because of that out-of-the-blue writing style…

    1. Thank you.
My focus this year is definitely on the quality of some of those posts because I know some of my episode reviews last year needed a little bit more of an edit than they got.

  5. Congrats on the milestone!! You’re the first and only person I know that has 2000 posts. It’s super impressive! 😀😀
